On Friday, September 27, during the Europe Cup in Slovakia, the first general meeting of the European Darts Council (EDC) took place.
The meeting’s agenda was comprehensive, addressing key topics essential for the foundation and future of EDC:
- Role call of present nations
- Approval of constitution
- Election of EDC President, Vice President, Secretary, and four committee members
- Review of competition proposals from European nations, including the Europe Cup and EC Youth
- Discussion of an EDC Champions League concept
- Other proposals submitted by member nations
Nine candidates stood for election, competing for the seven available seats on the EDC committee. The seven individuals elected were:
- Camilla from Sweden
- Roderick from Malta
- Zanis from Latvia
- Vlad from Romania
- Gabor from Hungary
- Dietmar from Austria
- Mikkel from Denmark
The newly elected committee members will now set a date for their first meeting to allocate roles and formally establish their positions within the council.
